Obituary of Margaret Belinda Boudreau
Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness the family of Margaret Belinda Boudreau (63) announce her passing on May 23, 2022, peacefully at Hospice Halifax, after a long battle with breast cancer.
Born in Glace Bay, NS she was the daughter of the late Margaret and Roderick McNeil.
Belinda was a hard-working, caring, and dedicated nurse. She spent most of her career working with Hematology & Bone Marrow Transplant patients. She will be fondly remembered for her humour and generosity after many years at the VG.
Belinda had a love for classic country/rock music, family, and cooking. She looked forward to her annual McNeil trips down south and her heart always belonged “home” in Cape Breton. She shared a special bond with the Boudreau’s and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Stephen and Shawn Boudreau; daughter, Patricia (Andrew) Redden; and 2 grandchildren, Paisley and Rory. Also survived by her siblings, Paul (Reiko), Robert (Frances), Charles (Kathy); and sister, Mary. She is also survived by her many brother and sister in-laws on the Boudreau side as well as many nieces and nephews.
Belinda was predeceased by her husband Gregory Boudreau, brothers John Anthony, Peter (Edna), and Clarence and brother in-law Les Boudreau.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Halifax.
The family of Belinda would like to thank all the staff from Medical Oncology for their care over the past 7 years.
Special thanks to the entire staff and volunteers at Hospice Halifax for the exceptional care Belinda received during her end of life.
