Its been decades since I have seen uncle Melvin with him living on one coast and I on the other. But it made me very happy when I heard my mom went and visited him when down to the east coast and got him caught up with my family. I have often shared memories of uncle Melvin with my kids sharing his funny since of humor, like yelling shark and sticking his leg out of the water, our fishing trips, or him and my dad playing with all my toys at Christmas before I did, and the threats of putting me in the unlucky bed if I fell asleep when I was down to the east coast when grandma was sick in the ICU. I have nothing but good memories of uncle Melvin and only wish that I had another opportunity to thank him for being a positive influence on my life. R.I.P.
