To Gert Jones Family: Chris and I were sorry to learn of Gert's passing, but there is no doubt that she lives on in the many great memories and her wonderful paintings. We so enjoyed the French Village Painters' summer shows and seeing Gert's smiling face and welcoming manner was an added bonus to the purchase of another of her beautiful art works. We get to see Gert every day in the many paintings that grace the walls of our home. We extend our sympathies to you at this time of loss. Chris and Cynthia Pilichos

I met your lovely Mother when I worked in Licensing at DFO as your father was my boss and hired me. Gertie would visit the office often, of course to see Chuck, while there she always had time for a conversation with us girls. She was always so sweet with that beautiful smile. You had beautiful parents, please accept my sincere condolences, your in my prayers and thoughts. Be comforted by your wonderful memories.

Ross McAvoy Herring Cove Although I never met your mother I was the person that found her purse in the parking lot of the of the Baker’s Road Shopping Centre in 1982 I took it over to the MT&T office where I worked and my friend Byron Moser told me he knew your parents and that he would return it. Your mother sent me a framed picture of the French Village Train Station that is still on rec room wall. May she rest in peace
