Obituary of Sharon Patricia Layton

Halifax, passed away in the Palliative Care Unit of the Victoria General Hospital on March 15, 2022. Sharon was a graduate of Queen Elizabeth High School and the Halifax Vocational School. She spent her productive years as a secretary at Sears and at The Association of Professional Engineers. Sharon was a long-standing member of Mulgrave Park United Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. Sharon’s other interests included a love of travel, the classical guitar and membership in the “Eastern Star” and the “Daughters of the Nile” where she attained the positions of “Worthy Matron” and “Queen of the Nile” respectively. Arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax, (902) 835-4212 where visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 1pm at the same location. Donations in Sharon’s memory can be made to a charity of choice.
