Charles “Charlie” Farrell 1944-2021 It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we, the family of Charles “Charlie” Farrell, age 77, of Reserve Mines, announce his passing on December 24, 2021. Born in Bridgeport, N.S., he was the son of the late Charles and Muriel (MacKinnon) Farrell. Charlie was a member of the Heat and Frost Insulators Local 116 until his retirement. Charlie enjoyed watching harness racing, playing a round of golf and coaching his team, The Montreal Canadians, from his personal “Bell Centre” in his basement. He was always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone he knew and was a true “Jack of all Trades”. Charlie had such a special sense of humor and always had those around him laughing. Charlie is survived by his loving partner, Gail McLean; his son Brendan, Reserve Mines; daughter Aileen, Dartmouth, grandson Dylan, Dartmouth; stepdaughter, Yolanda, Dartmouth; his sisters, Ann (Charlie) MacIntyre, Celestine (Ken) Baker and Mary (Cyril) LeBlanc; his brother, Gerard (Tammie) Farrell. He will be sadly missed by his best friend, Eddie Hill and his beloved dog, Riley as well as several nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Covid-19 Restrictions- Public are to provide identification and proof of double vaccine, masks are mandatory.
