Obituary of Andrea McIntyre

M.Div., MSW, RSW 55 of Halifax Nova Scotia passed away peacefully Dec.14 2021 at Halifax Hospice. Born in Bridgewater NS she was the wonderful daughter of Chris (Bates) Lamont, stepdaughter of Philip Lamont, and mother of Aaron and Angus. Andrea was a life-long scholar with a great desire to help others. This led to her work as a psychotherapist, social worker, and Anglican Priest. She held chaplaincies in hospitals in Toronto and Halifax. She did all these things while raising two splendid sons of whom she was so very proud. An accomplished fine artist, gardener and seamstress, the world has lost a wonderful person. Survived by sons, Aaron Lamont Earl, and Angus McIntyre-Earl; mother; stepfather; and loving aunts; cousins; and stepsisters. The family is grateful for the kind, loving care by the staff and volunteers at Hospice Halifax. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Halifax, Canadian Cancer Society, Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
