75, of Halifax, passed away on December 15, 2021, at the QEII Halifax Infirmary site after complications from an existing health condition. Jack had managed with his illness for multiple years with strength and grace. Jack was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia to parents Sadie Marguerite MacCuish and John Lamond. In his youth, he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed canoeing, cross country skiing, and camping. In later years he took up RVing, where he ruled the road. Jack worked successfully for several local car dealerships and won many awards and prizes for his exceptional sales skills. He also worked for the Canada Revenue Agency for many years. Jack was proud of his family and was always there as a source of unwavering support. Jack was a wonderful husband to his wife of fifty years, Joan (Lewis), as well as an amazing father to daughter Leah (Ryan) Dinwoodie and son John (Charlene) Lamond. He was a caring brother to Carolee Kozlowski, Cameron (Lucy) Lamond, and Sara (Brian) Watson. Jack leaves behind three grandchildren, Jason Lussier, London Dinwoodie, and Lochlan Dinwoodie and nieces, Grace Lamond, Maria Lamond, and Robin Dengler and nephews, Joseph Kozlowski, and D.J. Kozlowoski. The family held a private celebration of life last weekend and plans to hold a memorial service in Cape Breton in summer 2022. Donations in Jack’s honor can be made to a charity of your choice.
