Joan, I was so saddened to read of Jack’s passing. He was one of the people who turned my life around by hiring me at Revenue Canada. He was a patient mentor to me and soon became my landlord. I remember fondly our time on Woodbury Drive, travelling to work together, Jack and I singing (very badly and off key) while you played piano without laughing uproariously! The odd dinner at the old Ranch and Reef and learning to love Duck Toll Retrievers, finding missing diamonds and our ribbing each other over politics. I am saddened at his passing, but so glad I got to meet you both and I can still hear little Leah going “oh boom, oh boom boom boom” whenever she fell. The sadness is overcome by all the terrific memories and I can see from other posts that Jack and yourself touched many peoples lives.
