My sympathy to Fred and family. I have fond memories of Barb in the Bethany Chorale, always with a smile on her face. I remember she would be looking for her glasses, and there they were- on top of her head!
We had wonderful summer parties with the choir at their home. So sorry for your loss.

Dear Fred, Rhonda, Brad and Mark,
I am so sorry to hear of Barb's passing. I remember Barb and Fred's generosity to the members of the Bethany Chorale. I have so many fond memories of pool and hot tub parties at the Oxners. Barb once told me she'd rather see her children and their friends enjoying themselves at home than elsewhere. What a wise and generous woman. She will be greatly missed. Hugs to you all.

Aunt Barb was a wonderful person who I always looked forward to visiting whenever I came home to Nova Scotia. She was always pleasant and she had a beautiful voice that made simple conversation sound like poetry. I will miss her greatly and will forever be sad that my family never got to really know her. - Her favourite nephew, Merrick

Rhonda, Brad, Mark and Mr Oxner, I am sadden by the news of your mum's (wife) passing. Cherish every memory and keep her in your heart. I remember in Grade 12 being at your home and needing to mend something. Your mum got out her sewing basket and cringed as I threaded the needle with a metre worth of thread. She gave me a wonderful story of a king and his 3 daughters and a sewing lesson all in one. The story/lesson has stuck and I smile when in haste and take too much tread in my needle.
