We were so sorry to hear of Allan's passing. He informed us of his cancer while meeting up at another visitation. He looked so well at that time. I worked with Allan for several years at the City and we got along so well. He was quiet but had a dry sense of humor. My husband also worked for the City and bowled with him in the City league. They too got along very well.. He spoke of his children and grand children with great fondness. Our sincere sympathy for your loss. He will definitely be missed.

Neil & I (Marie) send condolences to Allan's family. We grew up in New Ross & went to school here in our community. Neil & Allan were neighbors near Lake Darling. They remained friends & the past years since Neil was confined to the car, he would drive in to see Allan, who would come out & sit on the doorstep to have some long chats of old times.
Allan was such a kind, gentle & humble man. I always thought it was amazing that he received recognition for not having missed ANY time from school....a testament of his devotion to do well.
Always difficult to lose a dear one, so cherish your many memories of Allan and know he lived a good life. ...You had an amazing father & Granddad.

Melanie & Kevin,
I was saddened to learn of the passing of your Dad. I have many fond memories of him while growing up. I will never forget watching him bombing around in his little blue truck, he loved that little truck. He was a kind, soft spoken man who cared deeply for his family. Thinking of you all during this difficult time. xoxo

Alan and I were the “ Odd Couple”. For the first little while we thought we had nothing in common. Finally we discovered that our sense of humour was our common thread. There has only been a handful of people in my life that could bring me to uncontrolled laughter like Allan could. Where Alan was the centre of the Building Code universe his children and grandchildren were the centre of his. I’m missing him already. Gerard Donahoe
