Marilyn, Susan and family - please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Fred. I will always remember my days working with Fred at Schwartz. He was a pleasure to work with and I never would have sold so many Girl Guide Cookies without him. Not sure if you got to have one or if he ate them all during the day, but he bought many. May God bless you and help you through this difficult time.

my deepest condolences to marilyn, susan, and all the family
fred and marilyn were kind enough to drive my mother in law lorine somers up to sackville to pick up my 2 children and take them to cape breton to be there with the family while i was in the hospital having my third baby,(may 29, 1974) lorine always said that she enjoyed that drive so much, as they took their time and enjoyed every minute, stopping and sight seeing.
the children adored fred, he was so kind and approachable i think all kids love fred
my father in law walter somers also loved to spend time with fred and loved his visits and enjoyed the fishing trips. walt always had stories to tell about fred especially his garden and how well it grew for him because he had made a tea out of chicken manure and would run it down through the rows! (fred bought me a hoe for my garden)
last time i saw fred at their house it was probably a new years day birthday celebration for lorine, fred had been away and had so many stories about how beautiful the country was and was so fascinated by the animals especially the beavers !
rest in peace fred !

From very early on I have many wonderful memories of Uncle Fred; vivid ones of red Crazy Carpets, day excursions around Newfoundland, camping on PEI, visiting Rainbow Valley & Fairyland, playing Merlin, cruising around the Bras D'Or Lakes and many long trips between New Brunswick and Cape Breton, as Susan and I spent our summers together.
As an adult, I loved chatting and laughing in the family room usually with a tin of Quality Street in our midst. Those precious moments were never frequent enough.
I will always treasure his visit to see Spencer when he was so small. The love was instant!
Sonny, Spencer and I are so saddened by his passing. We are keeping Aunt Marilyn, Susan, Darren and Owen close in thought and prayer.

we’re together again.”

A limb has fallen from the family tree,
We keep hearing a voice that says" Grieve not for me."
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song,
The good life I lived while I was strong.
We will, dear brother-in-law and there is much to remember.
Marilyn,Susan Owen and Darren, we feel your sorrow and we share it.
Love Aunt Kathryn & Uncle Glenn
