Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Clarke and Catherine Roberts. For many years, our mother was engaged in many recreational activities such as skating, darts and camping. She is also survived by her sister, Josephine (Ron) Matheson; brothers, John Roberts and Angus (Marie) Roberts; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Murphy; husband and father of her children, Jim Whiting; daughter Kathy in infancy, daughter and caregiver, Sharon Myra; grandson, Glenn; brothers, John Hugh, Rannie and Bill Roberts; sisters-in-law, Mary and Myrtle. Her entire family would like to thank the management and staff of Taigh Na Mara, level 2, for the compassion and respect they showed her during her stay.
