We are all deeply affected and saddened by her death, but ,at the same time, knowing she is no longer in pain, as the last several years there was very little, if any, quality of life. Like so many people she experienced deep personal losses early in her marriage, with the death of her baby daughter, and then that of her young grandson. She demonstrated a resilience and strength that were impressive and inspiring. I can almost visualize her laughing at the beautiful stories and anecdotes people have shared with the family. My own children have remembered so many warm and engaging aspects of her character, her love of song, especially country music, and needed very little encouragement to belt any song from her vast repertoire. Maria and I, along with our daughter, Daniela, from Belgium, and our son, Luis, here in Spain send our deepest sympathy to her three sons and their families. She was always so proud of you all. Rest in peace--descansa en paz mi hermana.
