Obituary of Finbar Tobin

Finbar Michael Tobin, 61 years old, of Halifax Nova Scotia passed away on the 6th of March, 2021, at the Hospice of Halifax. Born in the city of Placentia, Newfoundland, he was the son of Edmund Joseph Tobin and Eileen Mary Tobin (Brennan). Finbar enjoyed spending his spare time fundraising at Haunted Hollow during many Octobers and offering his painting services as prizes at silent auctions for the Kids’ Help Phone, the Children’s Wish Foundation, Big Brothers & Sisters, as well as several other organizations. He was survived by his wife Jill (Budge) of 35 years, his two daughters Candice E. Tobin and Émilie D. Tobin, his two brothers Stanley Tobin of Shipcove NFLD and Jeffrey Tobin of London, Ontario, his sister Margaret Flemming and several of his nieces and nephews. Finbar was predeceased by both of his parents, Eileen and Edmund, as well as his nephew, Eddie Tobin. The celebration of life for Finbar will be held on the 17th of April, 2021, between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm at our home in Timberlea.
