I just want to send our best wishes to Ted's family. I had a long note ready to send, but hit the wrong key and puff - gone. Somehow over the years and certainly after my parents (Ronald and Marion MAHAR) had passed away we lost touch with your families! I would like to renew that somehow. Well, I guess this is a good start! If anyone wants to contact me (Marilynn ) I would love to hear from anyone interested. Well, it is obvious that I do not read the obituaries often at all; I did not realize that Betty and Ted had past away! My sincere wishes to both Betty and Ted's families - As you may know, my parents (Ron and Marion Mahar) are long gone (they would not be happy that I never responded to your loss). Please let your families know that I am thinking about them. We still have the"place" at the lake and would welcome anyone who wanted to drop by. I guess as families get older and pass away we continue on our own paths - I would appreciate any response from any of you. Marilynn Leslie - ne Mahar!!

Kathy and Family. I just learned today of your family’s loss. I am so sorry to hear of Ted’s passing. I worked closely with Ted for many years at Fisheries and Oceans and have many fond memories. As I am writing this, I am remembering many events that made me smile and laugh. He was a good man and I certainly enjoyed getting to know him and work with him. I valued his experience and advice and the many teachable moments that I carried throughout my career. Condolences to you and your family. I will keep you all in my prayers. Ron, as we age it becomes a daily ritual to scan the obituaries in the newspaper. I noticed the name Maher and was saddened to see that it was your brother Ted who had passed away. Even though I can't remember meeting him old friend, he certainly comes from good stock and Elaine and I wish to offer our condolences to you and the rest of his family at this most difficult of times.
