Obituary of Cyril Joseph Sampson

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Cyril Joseph Sampson, age 91 of Halifax, who passed away on Saturday January 16th, 2021 with his wife Kay by his side. Born in Sampsonville, Cape Breton he was the son of the late Leo and Irene Sampson. Cyril was in construction for many years working all over the province, after his retirement he drove the shuttle service for the Steele Group. Cyril had a love and appreciation for life and a commitment to Bill W of 49 years as well as his singing groups in Bedford, Prospect and Frankie Club at RA Park. Cyril will be sadly missed by all that knew him especially his loving wife of 50 years, Kay. He was survived by his wife Kay, brothers, Amedee "Leo”, John, sisters, Agnes, and Barbara. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Danny; David; Edwin; Stanley and Osweld, sisters, Rita, Cecilia, and Catherine. There will be no visitation. A Private memorial service will be held at St. Benedict's Parish, 45 Radcliffe Drive, Halifax, followed by an internment in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
