I'm truly sorry to hear about Fred's passing. His dad, the late Lawrence Hillier ,was my father's brother. Fred was a good and kind man. Although I hadn't chatted with Fred in sometime, I have fond memories of him when I lived in Cape Breton before commencing my career in radio broadcasting in Toronto. We have very fond memories of visits from Freddy with our father/grandfather Gordon “Smokey” Hatcher. They would sit for hours and talk horses. He was such a kind man. The Hatcher family sends our condolences.
