We met Wilma when she shared a room at the VG with my husband, Glen, both having renal failure. Shortly after, they were both readmitted again to hospital and again they shared the same room. Coincidence or fate? I would like to say fate. I was honored to have Wilma as a friend. I was equally honored to know her son Christian and his daughter Gemma. They were both shining lights in Wilma's life. I met her good friend Connie and others from her wide circle. Wilma would take the shirt off her back for you. She was kind. She loved music. Wilma taught us a lot in the short time we were friends. She was a true warrior who faced death many times but kept fighting. She exemplified the true meaning of the human spirit. Yes, she was spirited but she also showed us how to love and live. She never gave up. Wilma's spirit will be with us forever, circling those she loved, sending guidance. RIP Wilma.
