Marcel Joseph Lorenzo Miron Louisbourg It is with great sadness that we the family of Marcel Miron, age 80, Louisbourg, announce his passing on September 1, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Quebec, he was the son of the late Alice (St. Denis) and Lorenzo Miron. Marcel was a member of Knights of Columbus Chapter 5185 in Montreal and a long time volunteer for the food bank. He was also a standing member and volunteer at the Legion in Louisbourg and the Y’s Men Club. Marcel is survived by his wife of 40 years, Florence (Carlson) Miron; son, Edmond Boyer (Laura); sisters, Yvonne Bourgelas, Suzanne Tousigmount (Emile) and Monique Cummings. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Sherry Boyer (Josh), Matthew Boyer (Karma Rae), and Phillip, as well as three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Jaxx and Cali and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Marcel was predeceased by brothers, Robert and Gerard and sisters, Jeannette Laforest, Denise Proulx, Laurette Plouffe, and Anita Prefontaine, as well as brother-in-law, Billy Carlson and sisters-in-law Ella, Violet and Rose. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any local Food Bank. We would like to thank the Staff of Unit 4B, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
