Obituary of William George Preeper

PREEPER, William (Bill, Henry, Pup) George- Age 73 of Eastern Passage, it is with great sorrow we announce Bill’s sudden passing on August 7, 2020 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Austin Preeper and Marjorie Fills. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Carol Minerva Preeper (nee Conrad); children, Sandra (Darren), Kevin (Carla) and Jeff (Kelly); grandchildren, Sacha (Ryan) and Shayna (Ryan); great grandchildren Will, Kyran and Cali; siblings, Jim (Sandra), Eric, Richard (Joan), Marlene (Doug), Georgie, Donnie and Bobby (Diana). He was predeceased by sister, Fran, granddaughter, Hannah in infancy. Bills first love was baseball and he spent many years on many ballfields. He was an avid Blue Jays and Maple Leaf’s fan. His later years he spent in his beloved shed tinkering on one project or another or just having a warm beer with his countless friends. His woodwork can be found all over Nova Scotia. He looked forward to his daily calls or visits from his wonderful friend Mugsy, aka Troy Osborne. In keeping with Bill’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation and arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to The Heart and Lung Association or to The Autism Society. A celebration of Life in Bill’s memory will be at a later date.
