We will all miss this very special man and cherish the times we spent with Lester in conversation and in particular the long walks on the trails with family and of course the dogs. His passion of boats, water and the outdoors always brought a smile to his face that we will always remember. You will always be in our thoughts.

Diane & Family,
I was very saddened to here of the passing of my old buddy Les. While I haven't seen much of Lester in recent years I have known him since we both started at NS Power almost 45 years ago. We worked together in the field between Les's stints in the control rooms of Water St. and Ragged Lake. We even car pooled together, in the early 80's, when we both bought our first homes in Forest Hills. We also did some pretty good partying in our younger days with fellow Power Corp buddies and Les was always right in the middle of it all with that permanent grin on his face. Maybe the easiest guy to get along with that I've ever known!
A lot could be said about Les but, suffice to say, you could search the world over and never find a finer guy than Lester Gywnn!
Our thoughts, and prayers, are with you all at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Bill & Carmel Shea

My deepest sympathy upon hearing dear Lester died. I was honored to have known him. He was a wonderful man. I will treasure
my memories of him, his laughter and his stories. He was wise beyond his years, and I am so thankful he shared his wisdom

I had the pleasure of working on the same shift as Lester for 12 years. 12 years by 12 hours equals a lot of time together and I cherish every minute of it. We had good times at work and good times at play. He will be dearly missed by myself and anyone who ever knew him.
