We are saddened to read of the passing of Danny MacDonald. Looking back over lists of Casino Taxi drivers we see that Danny started driving with our company in December 1976. He was always a hard working driver and very attentive to his passengers and their needs. I wonder how many bags of groceries left the Freshmart in Novalea Centre in the trunk of Danny's cab Roof Light # 259. He was always someone you could count on. In his retirement we would sometimes meet him at Cousin's Restaurant and chat about days gone by and he had many stories to share. Rest in peace my friend.

Roy and I are very sorry to hear of Danny's passing. We will miss the great chats at Cousins . We usually saw him at breakfast. He had a great sense of humour and always had stories to tell. I know you have your own special mug in heaven, just like you did at Cousins. Prayers for you and your family.

My deepest sympathies to the entire family of Danny!! Danny was a true friend for many decades. I enjoyed the pleasure of him driving with me to Ontario to visit my family, and stay at my parents home in September 2010. My parents were very close with him and made him in an honorary member of our family. It's unfortunate he was only able to visit that one time, but he left a lifetime of wonderful memories with them. He left a lifetime of wonderful memories with me and many of my other comrades at George's Convenient Store and Cousins Restaurant. His chair will hopefully be raised to the rafters when we get back to the usual norm. Rest In Peace Danny!! You will be sadly missed!! David (Halifax)

My deepest condolences to Danny's family.Danny was one of a kind and we shared many AM coffees and afternoons at Cousins. We became friends and as a fellow Northender had many tales and political talks and everything in between. I truly enjoyed his company and the time we shared together.
