Valerie, Ashley and Skyler and families our very deepest sympathy. I have lots of fond memories of my time with Pearl (and of course some not so fond as she faced daily challenges from the stroke she suffered). One of the funniest things that happened and still makes me smile whenever I think of it - we were on the road a lot and Pearl missed driving so one morning we sent to the parking lot at the Bay Plex and Pearl got settled behind the wheel, I went around the back of the car to get in the passenger side. Well Pearl wasn't waiting another second and ZOOM, she left me sta ding in the dust. She went down the lot turned and came back for me. I was still standing where she left me with my heart in my throat and my mouth open. We laughed like two fools and debated about telling anyone. Skyler provided daily entertainment as well, he'd get his cape on and I would make a big deal of introducing him to an attentive audience, Pearl, he'd do his magic act. Lots of God laughs. R.I.P. Pearl. Trish and Tommy

Pearl will be dearly missed by all the staff and clients of the Glace Bay Adult Day Program! To say we were shocked to here this tragic news is a understatement.
She always came to the program with a smile on her face. She was always talking about her grandchildren, her great grandchildren she loved them dearly. You could tell she was a women who took pride in her family she shared many stories of Boston and her resturant . She was a huge Boston Bruins fan , always making sure to mention to me when they won against Toronto!
We have many memories of pearl at the day program, too many to mention..
She loved to plant flowers in the spring/summer, last spring we planted some bulbs out back so we will be sure to remember Pearl as the bloom this year
She loved the bus outings but most of all
she just loved the company of the other clients where she made some strong friendships
Again we are sorry to here of Pearl's passing we are thinking of all the family in their time of grief

My heart is with you all. I was quite shocked to hear of Pearls passing. Pearl and I became good friends through the Adult Day Program and she was always so happy to be with us there. We had many conversations about many things, most of all her family . She loved to buy those Christmas tree ornaments for her great grandchildren. She was very proud of them. I will miss you Pearl .Until we meet again .She loved the song, You will Always Be a Child in MY Eyes,Ray Boltz that I played at my reflections. I will remember you when I play this song.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the great loss of your family member. The Carabin family were a part of my life since my childhood. Nana Carabin as I called her ( not my real nana) was a wonderful lady. I slept at her house many times as a child. Cherish the memories of your loved one. RIP Pearl. From Madonna (Peach) Leonard.

To Robbie and Pearls family, my deepest condolences. Pearl was a special woman who holds a very special place in my heart. I have never met another person who made me and my family feel so special. Pearl was like another mother to me. And I hold her with the same honor and respect I do my own mother. A piece of my heart has left this earth.
