The Second Chances Community Band Members send their Deepest Sympathy to Valerie's family.
Valerie played in our beginner band and served on our Board as the Beginner Band Representative and volunteered at our Band Fest at the Mount. A great lady with lots of enthusiasm and great ideas. Unfortunately because of her illness she had to leave us to fight her battle. We are all saddened with her passing and send our support at this difficult time.

Mike and family, both you and Val were wonderful friends to our parents. Even through her own struggles, Val was always there to spread her love and good cheer. There are so many memories to cherish and we are so saddened this beautiful lady has been taken so suddenly and so soon. She epitomizes the meaning of warrior. Her loss will be felt by so many. We share with you at this time our thoughts and prayers for a remarkable friend.

To Mike and Family,
We are truly sorry for you loss. Our deepest condolences and most sincere condolences to you all on the passing of a lovely lady. I met Val when she worked at the RCMP. We would often see each other in the hallways or the cafeteria. In 2006 Val hired me and we worked together over the next several years. Val was a great supervisor and a great teacher. We shared a lot of good times and laughter together. She was a wonderful lady and a sharp dresser and will truly be missed. Blessing to you all.

To Mike and Family
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Val.
I worked with NRCan in NL and reported to the department’s office in Halifax.in the early 90’s
I got to know Val well through work and kept in limited contact when I left NRCan.
Val was a vibrant individual who knew her job and made working with her and Terry Daniels a pleasure .
We had recently re connected on e -mail. I knew she was going through a rough time but I did not realize her time was so short.
I am deeply saddened by this news and my thoughts are with you at this most difficult time.
Take Care

Mike, Robert, Steve and Veronica, I am heartbroken to hear about Val’s passing. She was surely the best neighbor anyone could wish for. She was a wonderful godmother to Leonard and almost had Luke born in your kitchen, lol.
She was always happy to have you in for a coffee or tea visit and you can be sure there was a treat to go with it.
She will be surely missed but never far from any of you because if anyone would be your guardian angel she will.
Love and hugs,

Val was one of the few people I met when I first stared with the RCMP in 2001. A fellow Caper, we bonded immediately as she was a spunky, fun and yet formidable colleague. Always promoting what was right and just in the work she did and the way she carried herself. At the same time she was full of laugh and levity in an environment that isn't always known for good news and good time. Her retirement meant I didn't see her much anymore and our last meeting was over coffee and muffins working on a Women in Policing Award Committee meeting. She was full of hugs and laughter and as always called me "Brat". She was missed when she ended her time at RCMPHQ and now the loss is felt around everyone who was privileged enough to know and love her. My deepest condolences to Mike, Robert, Stephen and Veronica and all her loved ones and friends. Natalie Bona

Val was a wonderful, warm hearted person. She was my dear friend who I will truly miss.
We shared many memories at our ACIIS meetings. My favourite memory of Val was sitting chatting after our meeting, with a glass of red wine in hand. Val held up the glass and with the biggest smile on her face, said, “this one’s for you darlin”. Val, the world was a much brighter place because you were in it. May you Rest In Peace.
My deepest sympathy to Mike and family, she loved you all so dearly.

Sadly Tanya and I just learned of Val’s passing. Val and I worked together in Halifax at the former RCMP H Div HQ in the late 90’s. She ran the office I worked out of and was first contact for all new seconded employees. She was always and I mean always smiling, and could dish out the light hearted verbal taunting as much as she received it. I can still hear her voice calling me “you little brat!” Whenever I did something unusual in the office. I was since posted to Ottawa and sadly did not get to see her as often but every year I tried to make arrangements to say hi during our visits East. We always kept in touch regardless. Mike and family, we wish you all our deepest condolences during this difficult time. Val will be forever loved in our hearts.

Dear Mike, Veronica, Stephan and family,
My heart breaks, for the loss of your sweet wife and loving mom.
Even more disturbing, during this pandemic, is that we cannot gather and share our love, our stories and our grief over losing Valerie.
Our family has known the Parsons, for over thirty years, first meeting on the soccer fields as Stephan played, Dad, Mom and Veronica cheered on the sidelines.
My deepest sympathy to you all
Sincerely, Marilyn LeBlanc
