Paul, Kathy, Allan and Laura (those are who I remember). It's been a very long time, but I recall meeting Walter and Grace at the Stanford home on Dragatis back in '79 or '80. Fond and warm memories.
Sincere condolences to the Stanford family.
Respectfully,
Ron Demone (still in Calgary)

We are so very saddened to hear The death of my dear cousin, Grace. . Our deepest sympathy to Kathy and Paul, Laura snd Mark, Alan and Sally. Grace’s loving heart and cheerful spirit will never be forgotten. We will always remember the way Grace and Walter would welcome us and our children to their home whenever we visited. The warmth and love they extended meant the world to us. I am so happy she is with Champ(Walter), once again. They were the most beautiful couple. Love to you all during these difficult days.
Florence and David Oldford and family.

Your obituary for your Mom today in the Herald brought back great memories of sixty years ago. Mrs Stanford taught us at Colby/Woodill jr High grade seven 1957-58.
She helped us adapt (mid year) from primary to junior high. She was a kind person and I think we all enjoyed our year. I remember her taking our water pistols from us (imagine—grade seven!) but remembered to return them to us on grading day. Obviously, our school room pranks did not lessen her long life.

To Paul, Allen and all of Grace's family our deepest sympathy. We spent many social events with Walter and Grace, in our youthful years while employed at Seaboard Power. What a great fun loving couple they were.. May they rest in peace.----- Mary and Joe Matheson, Glace Bay

So sorry for your loss.Your mother was my teacher at Birch Grove School.Such a wonderful educator but more important
to a young child always kind and fair. She was my favourite teacher of all time and the reason I became a teacher also.
How lucky for you to have such a special person as your mother.

Mrs Stanford was the best teacher I ever had. She use to bring her boy Paul to the school sometimes and I played with him in the playground. I just loved that little boy. I always said, if I ever have a son, I was going to name him Paul which I did with my first born. My long time friend Josephine Flis and I went to visit her many years ago. So glad we did. Anyone that was fortunate to have her for a teacher was blessed. She will be missed. Juanita (Ashe) Taggart
