We, the family of James William John Collier Sr. (Jimmy), of Shad Bay, sorrowfully announce his passing on December 26th, 2019, at Melville Lodge Nursing Home in Halifax, he was 87 years young. Dad lived a proud and honest life and was well loved and respected by all who knew him. He can now finally be reunited in eternity with Mom who he has missed so dearly for all these years. He would want us to thank all of those who visited him at Melville and to sing the praises of the entire staff there, they treated him with dignity, respect, love, and kindness. Dad was predeceased by Mom (Teresa Holland), brother David, and his parents William and Marjorie (nee Spares). He is survived by children Michael (Norma), Marilyn, Mark (Susan), Laura (Dennis), Jennifer (Fred), Juanita (Max), Blair, Frances, Shirley (Michael), and James Jr. (Lynda). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and brother Paul (Judy). He would also like to remember sisters in law Ann Collier, Bettie Blum, Janet Holland, cousin Judy Brown, and son in law Edward Thomas. A final but important thanks to oldest daughter “Marnie” who was his sole care giver for many years. Cremation has taken place as per his request with special thanks to T.J.
