Bessie Violet McIndless, age 84 of Bedford, passed away December 7th, 2019, at the QEII Hospital.

Born in Oshawa, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late David and Alice Rodgers.

Bessies hobbies included knitting and crafting, and she was passionate about animal protection and welfare.

She is survived by daughters Marion Beth Whalen and Karen Louise Henderson; son Wayne Douglas McIndless; sister June Margaret Pettit; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Beside her parents, Bessie was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Douglas McIndless; son Dennis McIndless; daughter Elaine Duhn; brothers Clifford, Albert, and Gordon; and sister Eilien Reynolds.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 15th, 2019, at 2 pm at New Life Community Church, 1760 Prospect Road, Hatchet Lake.

Interment will take place at a later date in Mount Lawn Cemetery in Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA, Salvation Army, or charity of your choice.
