It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Arlene MacDonald, age 63 of Dartmouth, at the VG Hospital surrounded by her loving family on September 20, 2018.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Adrian & Roseen (Allen) Toms.
She was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Sister-in-law, Aunt, Great-Aunt, and Friend who enjoyed crafts, cooking & baking which many got to sample as you never got to leave her home without taking a care package with you.
Arlene is survived by her husband of 40 years Winston; son Matthew; daughter Amy (Angie); sisters Debbie (Adrian) of Dartmouth and Karen of Glace Bay; brother George (Valerie) of Glace Bay; as well as several nieces, nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews, who she loved so very much – especially her boys Caiden, Noah, Lucas and Connor.
Cremation has taken place under the care of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Bedford. (902-835-4212) A celebration of Arlene’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 26th at the Evangel Pentecostal Church, 1412 Cole Harbor Road, at 1pm with reception to follow at Arlene and Winston’s home at 30 Brookdale Crescent.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The family would like to thank the amazing team of doctors, nurses and support workers at the VG Hospital for their excellent care of Arlene during her illness.
