We the family of Molly Farrow, regret to announce her passing on December 8, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born in Gardiner Mines on June 11,1928, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (O’Brien) Waidson. She was predeceased by her husband Greg in 1975.
She was a member of the former St. James Parish and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary. Ma was a stay at home mother who lived for her family and always enjoyed hosting Christmas Dinners. She loved to bake and was known for her pork pies. Ma also enjoyed bingo, the casino, eating out and attending concerts, especially The Men of the Deeps.
She is survived by her children, Diane (Rannie), Wayne (Peggy), Joan (Kevin), Lynn (Kevin), Paul (Jeannie), Ann (David) and Michelle (Victor); grandchildren, Leslie, Alicia, Keli, Greg, Amanda, Beth, Meghan, Marissa, Adam, Ryan, Daniel and Cherise and great grandchildren Sadie, Cai, Ella-Joe, Nova and Sam.
She was also predeceased by grandson Trevor; great grandson Trevor; brother Norman and foster sisters Girlie and Rita.
Visitation will be held at TJ Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199) on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Immaculate Conception Parish on Saturday December 14, 2019 at 11:00 am. Burial to take place at St. James Cemetery, Gardiner Mines.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint James Cemetery or the charity of choice.
