Obituary of Edgel Roland Chandler

The family of Edgel Roland Chandler, age 83 of Upper Tantallon, is deeply saddened to announce his passing on December 1^st, 2019, but grateful that he did so peacefully and surrounded by love.

Edgel leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Sylvia (nee Smeltzer); daughters Holly (Shaun) Oickle and Anita (Todd) Williams, and son Andy (Julie) Chandler. He was also blessed with grandchildren: Corey, Adam (Natasha), Jasmine (Ryburne), Tyler, Madison, Chandler, and Sophia and great grandchildren: Brooklynn, Wesley, and Autumn. He was also survived by his sister Meta (Fernand) Frenette, and countless family and friends.

He was predeceased by his mother Jane (nee Boutilier), nine sisters and brothers, and special nephew Mike Chandler.

Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 8^th, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Estabrooks Community Center in Lewis Lake, NS.

Donations in Edgel’s memory may be made to the Community Center or a charity of your choice.

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of the Halifax Infirmary. Their support and compassion helped significantly in this very difficult time.

Papa/Dad has been reunited with several of his furry friends. Love you always and forever.
