It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing Mary Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Chiasson on November 2, 2019 at the Glace Bay Hospital, Glace Bay.
Born in Reserve Mines, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Deveaux) Chiasson.
She was a stay at home mom, who enjoyed puzzle books, word find, and watching T.V. Betty was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Reserve Mines.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Marie Chiasson (Kevin Allan Critch), Catalone; grandson, Steven C. Chiasson, Reserve Mines; brother, Paul (Pearl) Chiasson, Ontario; niece Bernice DeRuiter, Kelowna, BC; nephew, Tommy Benoit, Pomquet.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Josephine (Bernie) Benoit, Pomquet.
A graveside service in St. Joseph’s Cemetery will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Seaview Manor and the Glace Bay Hospital for taking wonderful care of Betty.
