Obituary of Frank John Novelli

Frank J. Novelli, age 79 of West Porters Lake, passed away November 13^th, 2019 at Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour.

Born in Halifax, NS, he was a son of the late Frank and Clara (Dill) Novelli.

Frank was a member of the I.L.A., Local 1341.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Hardie) of 58 years; his daughter the beautiful Maria Madelena (Michael) Novelli-McCrea; brothers Carlo and Tony; sisters Connie (Shawn) Pellerin, Teresa, and Lisa; his beautiful granddaughter Mia Lucia Novelli-McCrea, the light of his life; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Beside his parents, Frank was predeceased by his beautiful daughter Lucia Simone; brothers Gary and Ernie; and sisters Lana and Leslie.

The family wish to extend a very special thank you to the VON home care workers who attended to Frank and a very, very special thank you to the Canadian Cancer Society, Palliative Care Unit and most especially Shannon Purcell, Frank’s home care provider who was amazing and so loving and she went above and beyond.  We love her and a very special thank you to Mitch who filled in for Shannon on occasion.  Frank appreciated all who participated in his home care as does the family.  Thank you one and all.

 

We would also like to thank the nursing staff and doctors at Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital for their care of Frank.  You all did a terrific job.

 

Donations may be made in Frank’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Palliative Care Unit or the V.O.N. or any charity of your choice.

 

Frank has been cremated and there will not be a service at Frank’s request.
