Obituary of David Leslie Bullock

Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Leslie Bullock on November 1st, 2019.

Born in 1941 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he remained here his entire life.  He enjoyed a 30 year career with Maritime Tel. & Tel. beginning as a trouble-shooter and ending as a manager.  He was an avid golf, bowling and softball player and also enjoyed many hours playing crib with friends and family.  His gift of woodworking has blessed his friend's and family's homes, working alongside his wife Karen to produce crafts that they sold for years. During the latter years of his life, he and Karen took up camping and spent many hours with friends, laughing around a campfire and enjoying a good book.  His daughter, Christine and four grandchildren also joined them for many fun-filled years.  David had a wonderful sense of humour, quick witted and with a booming laugh that filled our hearts.  He was a good, kind man and quick to help anyone in need.  He and Karen were an important part of his grandchildren's lives.

David lived a meaningful life and will be greatly missed by his wife Karen of 34 years, his sister and brother, Diane "Debbie" Burke and Doug Bullock, his three children Christine, Kelly and Curtis Bullock, his grandchildren Ashlynn, Joshua, Jeremy and Brianna Ford and Chase Bullock, his great-granddaughter Harper Ford and his extended family; Carl and Darrin Comeau and two granddaughters Kaitlyn and Sarah Comeau.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to 'Team David' at Maplestone Nursing Home for the wonderful care, kindness, compassion and love they extended to David over the past three years. Your jobs are not easy but you do it all with big hearts and smiles.

Cremation has taken place under the care of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Halifax. (902-835-4212).

Donations in David's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or Parkinson's Society of Canada.

A gathering for friends and family will be held on November 9th from 2 - 4 at the Fairview Legion, 50 Hillcrest St., Halifax.
