Obituary of David Murray Dellapinna

David Murray Dellapinna, 66, of Timberlea passed away October 24th at the QEII hospital in Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Laurance and Eunice (Leslie) Dellapinna. David started his career as an automotive technician with Battery and Electric in Halifax and after 15 years, taught the automotive trade at the Nova Scotia Community College in Halifax for another 15 years. In 2001 he was ordained as an Anglican Priest with the Diocese of NS and PEI where he served in several parishes. In his retirement, he worked part-time at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists and was a volunteer with the Joint Emergency Management Team as well as the Alzheimer Society. He was a Mason, Past Master of Bedford Lodge #104 and a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite.
Survived by his wife Beverley (Fraser) of 42 years, his daughter Patricia (Jana), his sons Mark (Mélodie) and Tim (Atilia), his sister Edith Houser, his brothers Leslie (Jennifer) and Paul (Tracey), his step-grandchildren Sydne, Xavier, Abby, Ava, and Aliya and several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 30th from 6:00-9:00 pm at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists at 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax with a Masonic Service at 7:30pm.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 31st at 11:00 am in the Cathedral Church of All Saints at 1330 Cathedral Lane, Halifax, Archbishop Ron Cutler officiating.
Interment will be held at a later date in Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church cemetery, Timberlea.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church, Timberlea, Hospice Halifax or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
