Obituary of Angus Daniel MacAulay

Please share a memory of Angus to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Angus Daniel MacAulay, 72, of Halifax passed away October 22, 2019 at the Cobequid Health Centre. Born in Ste. Anns Bay, Cape Breton, (Jersey Cove) he was the son of the late Norman and Gladys.

Employed on the Englishtown Ferry - at the age of 23 he was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a car crash. As a result spent the last 49 years living in Halifax.

Survived by sister, Ann; brother in law, George; nephews, Joshua, Nicholas (Sara), Matthew (Kara); nieces, Jennifer, Jody; cousins, Fran (Niel), Don (Mary).

Predeceased by his parents; sister, Georgena; special friend, Wesley.

As Angus wished there will be no visitation or funeral.

Special thanks to Sagewood for the last 3 years of care and support. To Jackie – volunteer – for your constant kindness, encouragement and love. To friends: Ann Marie, Glenda, Kirk, Clifford, Robert and Rema.

To live each day as a quadriplegic brought challenges only Angus could know. He did so with courage and without compromise. His hospitality was there for those who knew him – a place to stay; a friend to talk to; a meal to share; a drink to enjoy.

The struggles of this life are over......his rest has come.
