It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of Denise Currie on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at home.

Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Gordon George Currie and Gertrude Frances "Donna" ( Steele) Currie.

Denise had a great love of music, she was very talented and enjoyed playing instruments. In her younger years she played in a band and was a huge Boston Bruins fan.

Denise  is survived by her brother, Chris Currie, Alberta; sisters, Mary Darlene Currie, Toronto, Ontario and Sheila Currie (Danny Spencer), Barrie, Ontario; nieces Shayna Steele and Fondah Spencer; nephew, Briar Spencer; as well as her special fur baby Tuukka.

Besides her parents, Gordon and Donna she was predeceased her twin boys, Scott and Shane and  by her brother Shane Currie.

Cremation has taken place.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
