Just wanted to say how sorry I was to hear about Anne’s passing. My memories of her include the preparation of large meals for Sheehan gatherings. She was very intelligent and well read. A good wife and mother. My condolences to Trish, Kathy, Michael, Dennis and all your families. You were all so very good to your mother and father. All the best, Brian Altwasser

Mom, Dad is probably so happy to see you as you are to see him. You are probably with family members and old friends, You are probably having a great time with all the people and animals that arrived before you. As much as we miss you, we are glad you are not suffering any longer. We know you are in the most wonderful place and we will be with you again. As Dad always said[ Bye for now] We Love you. From Trisha this poem was on a card Jean Paul and Wanda sent us. The Journey Home - There's a path that leads to a turn in the road, and we each must travel there. Where the Father waits to take us home to the shelter of His care...Where happiness and peace and joy replace tears and pain, And our loved ones rest in the arms of God to sweetly live again

Mom and Dad will remain in my heart and my memories forever. Words are not enough to express my sincere gratitude to my brother and sisters for caring and comforting our parents.

I have fond memories that I will always cherish of Ma. After I married her daughter Trisha, we were invited to many Sunday dinners and every holiday occasion for Turkey, Ham, and many other wonderful dishes that she liked to cook. I particularly liked her avocado salad. We went on many trips together to the valley to collect fruits and vegetables at the many farms and vegetable stands. We went to various restaurants together - one of their favorites being Murphy's in Truro where we always received a warm reception. She liked to take her dog for a walk on the beach with (Pa) her husband Doug while he was examining the little rocks. When I would pay her a visit we had many conversations about politics and religion. She was very firm in her beliefs about both subjects. I miss her greatly. Peter Fevens

To Patricia, Kathy, Michael, Dennis and their families.
We send our deepest sympathies to all of Anne's (and Doug's) family members. This is the second parent loss, in less than a year
and we understand how terribly sad you must all feel. Fortunately Anne and Doug were the kindest parents anyone could ask for so that by looking back at the many happy times and wonderful memories from childhood days to their last days with you, does bring comfort as Michael has expressed in his comments. Please know that our family understands your grief and stands ready to help in any way we can. Happy days will return and you can be sure that Doug and Anne are back at their dancing lessons and having great fun as they did before.
R.I.P. Anne.

I first met my friend, Anne on Nov. 27, 1961 in the Halifax Infirmary Hospital where her son, Michael was born about one hour before my son, Patrick. We were in beds opposite each other and little did we know then that we would be close friends for over 57 years. One of the nurses must have known we would become extended family one day she mistakenly gave Anne my son and me Michael. We had a good laugh over that. We had many good laughs in the years that followed, along with the time we signed up her husband, Doug and my husband, Ernie for dancing classes. We couldn’t stop laughing then. Anne and her husband were our friends for the rest of their lives and we feel very lucky to have had their wonderful family in our lives and in our hearts where they will remain forever. Goodbye, dear friend, you will be missed.
