Having only known John for a short period of time through the Bushell Family, I can say I was struck by his warmth, intelligence and kind spirit, characteristic of his upbringing. I wish I could have gotten to know John more as time went on, having felt lucky to have gotten to know him a little over the past two years. The local community has lost a great citizen, but is better off for the contributions he made over his life.
My condolences to Joanna, Ian and Pauline. Thinking of all of you during this time.
God bless.
Kenzie

So sorry to hear of Jonny's passing. I would have liked to attend the visitation and service but I just found out after arriving home from Halifax. Johnny was well liked by everybody who knew him with his strong sense of community and fair play and always there with a good laugh. He will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear about Johnny. He coached me in Bantam baseball almost 50 years ago and we remained lifelong friends. In fact, I tried on a couple of occasions to get him to join the GB Minor Hockey board knowing how good he was with young people and what a community minded person he was but he opted to remain on the sidelines so he could spend more time with his family. I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend his funeral services but please know my thoughts were with you on the loss of a genuine good man. Please accept our deepest condolences. RIP John
