Goodbye, My Friend
I never got to say goodbye,
you left before I could.
You kept it to yourself, you tried to protect me. For that I thank you, always in protection mode you were.
I never got to say goodbye,
I really wish you were here now,
So I could let you know I'll be alright,
It hurts so bad right now, they say time heals all, I don't know if their right.
I never got to say goodbye,
The memories I have will always take me back to when things were simple and fun before you went away too far to see each day.
I never got to say goodbye,
Until now. I love you and I will miss you, but you will never be forgotten,
