It is with heavy hearts we the family announce the passing of Bernard A. Cochrane, age 61, on Aug. 14, 2019 at the Regional Hospital.

Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of Mrs. Vivian McDonald and the late Roland Cochrane.

In his younger years, Bernie enjoyed playing baseball, bowling, hunting and fishing mackerel. He loved having fun and spending time with family and friends.  Bernie was always one to lend a helping hand to whoever was in need.

Bernie is survived by his mother Vivian; sons, David and Mark, Mississauga, ON, Stephen, Nunavut; brothers, Robbie, Blair, foster brothers, John and Fred; sisters, Margaret, Patricia (Glen), Jennifer (Vaughn); as well as nieces and nephews.

Besides his father, Roland, he was predeceased by his wife, Stella (Anderson), brother, little Bernie.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Sat., August  24, 2019 at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, (902-849-4199). Burial to follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery. Donations to  be made to the Glace Bay Food Bank.
