It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of Barbara Campbell on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, with her family by her side.

 Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Marguerite (McNeil) Campbell.

She was employed at the Glace Bay Central Credit Union for many years.  Barbara was lovingly known to Stephen and James Campbell as Nan. She will be dearly missed.

Barbara is survived by her son, Paul (Sandra) Jenkins, Lower Sackville; sister, Nancy (Jimmy) Borden, Glace Bay; brothers, Sandy (Gail), Nevada, Roy (Alma) Mt Forest, ON, Ron (Hannah),Phoenix, Tom (Veronica), ON, Les (Sylvia), New Hampshire, Peter (Faye), ON; very close nephew, Stephen ‘Joe’ (Gail) Campbell, Glace Bay, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Richard Jenkins, brother, Daniel (Elaine)Campbell and her partner, Jimmy Beaton.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 5-7 pm at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199).   A private burial will take place at a later date.  Donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
