Dawn everyone that knew Gerry loved him and respected him dearly. I will remember Jerry for his smile, his laugh and always being up for another beer with friends and family. I think we can all learn a great lesson from a man like that! Dear Dawn and Family; I am sorry to hear of the death of Dolly. He was a great friend of mine a lot of years back. We were on our Bosn Trade Group Two together in 1965 and we sailed together of the Preserver in the early 70's. Dolly was an amazing singer and guitar player. He was better than most of the pros. Hi Dawn, I was so saddened to hear about Gerry. He was one of my favourite and think of him every time I hear “Out on the Mira”, It was my pleasure to have met him and to get to know him, Through all his hard days he still managed a snicker or two. Dawn, my heart goes out to you and your family. Even though we knew it would happen it is never easy and I offer you my deepest sympathies. I did not know Gerry during his time in the RCN, however fate brought us together in his last year. We shared a few dits about our time in the Navy and had a few laughs at some of the game shows he used to watch. I always looked forward to spending time with Gerry and get to know him. I will cherish those moments. He will be missed by me but never forgotten. RIP Gerry, you Ol' Salt!
