We worked with her many years ago at the Canada Employment Centre and had many great moments (and laughs) as we did our best to help the clients and employers of that era! I am so very sorry to hear of Elizabeth's passing. I knew her through SC and, as well, living in the same neighbourhood in Halifax. I moved away 2 years ago, and at that time Elizabeth's cancer was in remission. She was so happy with her life, telling me about her travels with Weldon, as well as talking about her children and grandchildren. So I was very shocked to hear the news. Elizabeth was such a beautiful person, and I know she will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Hoping you can find peace in your precious memories.

I was so saddened when I learned that Elizabeth's cancer had come back. She gave that battle one hell of a fight!! Bronwen and Myra, I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure you will cherish your memories of her. She was a sweet and caring person and I will miss her beautiful smile. Weldon, how unfair this must seem to you. I’m so saddened to hear of the passing of Elizabeth. She was such a kind soul and beautiful person. I met her when she and her family moved next door to my grandparents, Lillian & Sam. Bronwen and Myra....I am so very sorry and sad to hear of your Mom's passing. Elizabeth and I were such good friends for a long time. We lost touch when I moved to New Glasgow, but I have such lovely memories of her - she stood with me at my wedding. I don't think she was on F/B as I could never find her to keep in touch. I have great photos of your Mom - I'll get Meryl to send them to you privately. Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. I know how much you both loved your Mom, and she loved you deeply. Bronwen, Myra and family, It was so sad to here of Betty's passing. She was a beautiful person inside and out. The road ahead will be hard and never ending. She will be remembered as a kind and generous person who is now an Angel in Heaven. Remember always to celebrate her life. What has been taken from the eyes will never be taken from your hearts.
