It saddens me to hear of Dorinda's passing. I have been trying to contact her for quite a few weeks to no avail, and just learned she has gone to a better place. We met over 20 years ago, and I valued her friendship. She was compassionate, committed, hard-working and honest to a T. She would do anything to help a friend in need. I met her mom a few times when she was visiting, and up until the day her mom died, Dorinda did everything possible to make sure her mother was receiving the right care. We used to mind each others cats and I always knew my little buddies couldn't be in better hands. Her little Hobo was a wonderful companion, and we both felt blessed to have these special cats in our lives. It grieves me that we won't have our special meals and times together, but I know she is at peace.

I was saddened to hear that Gail had passed. I remember her very well from her long summers spent in Portugal Cove while visiting her grandmother. We did all the things that young girls do - swim, pick blueberries, walking, and eating. She was a kind person who reached out to those who needed help. May she rest in peace, eternally.

I want to let Dorinda's family know how important she was to me and all her co-workers here in Halifax. Dorinda and I both shared growing up in Newfoundland. She was always doing little unexpected things to cheer up people in our department. Co-workers have shared their stories of Dorinda since her passing. We are all going to miss her a lot and codolences to all her family. Min (Merrilynn MItten)
