Velma Regis Dawson, 83, of Reserve Mines passed away July 8, 2019 at Seaview Manor. Born in Reserve Mines, Nova Scotia she was the daughter of the late Allan and Midi MacMullin.

It is with saddened hearts, we regret to announce the passing of our loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mom enjoyed playing a good game of cards and attending weekly mass at St. Josephs Church, but most of all Mom loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband James of 53 years, son; Jimmy(Amy), daughter; Lana(Derek), several sisters as well as 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by several sisters and brothers.

There will be no visitation. Funeral Service will take place Wednesday July 10, 2019 at 3pm at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve Street, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, with Deacon Lorne McNeil with reception to follow. Interment to take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Glace Bay Food Bank or a charity of choice.
