Obituary of Colleen Rose Coneita
Please share a memory of Colleen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Coneita, Colleen Rose, age 54 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at home on July 1st, 2019, with her family and friends by her side.
Born on March 4th, 1965, in Halifax, Colleen was the daughter of Helen and the late George Coneita.
Colleen worked at Tim Horton’s when she was younger and then went on to work for Convergys for many years until their closing. Colleen was a happy, bubbly person who loved to laugh. She was a wife, mother, daughter, nanny, and sister, and anyone who knew her knew her family always came first. She loved to play her games online, listen to old school music, but mostly she loved to spend time with her family. When she was younger many people knew her from roller-skating at the Wheelies in Dartmouth. Colleen adored her 2 cats.
She is survived by her long time partner of 25 years, Malcolm Muise (Dartmouth), her mother Helen Coneita (Dartmouth), her sister Anne McLean, her only daughter Jillisa Coneita (Dartmouth), and her two beautiful granddaughters Jatyha and Journey Coneita (Dartmouth) who she loved with all of her heart, many nieces and nephews, and her best friend Tina Pye.
She was predeceased by her father and her two brothers Robert and Georgie Coneita.
The family would like to thank the VON nurses who helped take care of Colleen as well as her family doctor and the doctors at the VG Hospital.
Colleen will not be having a visitation or funeral.
Donations in Colleen’s memory can be made to Hope for Wildlife, as Colleen loved animals.
The family would like to say thank you to all who have been there for Colleen and her family.
This is not a goodbye, but until we are together again.
