It is with heavy hearts, we the family announce the passing of Cecilia MacDonald on Sunday June 30, 2019 at the Glace Bay Hospital,Glace Bay. Born in Glace Bay. She was employed at the fish plant for many years until her retirement. Cecilia enjoyed listening to music, going to bingo, shooting darts and playing cards. Cece was a resident of Taigh Na Mara.
She is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Daniel MacDonald, Glace Bay;her son Stephen MacKinnon; father-in-law, Michael MacDonald; sisters-in-law, Debbie,Josephine, Michelle, Marie, Danette and Dawn; brother-in-law, Michael as wellas many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Cecilia was predeceased by her sisters, Geraldine Gibson, Margie St. Louis and Alice Hall. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 5 at T.J. Tracey Funeral Home, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199) with Deacon Lorne MacNeil officiating. The family would like to thank Dr. James MaLean and the staff for all their care and support given to Cece over the years.
