Obituary of Ruth Kelvey

It is with sadness that the family of Ruth Kelvey, age 81 of Dartmouth, announce her peaceful passing at home on June 28th, 2019.

Born in Wardsbrook, N.S., she was a daughter of the late Florence and George Hatfield.

Ruth's many hobbies included dancing, sewing, knitting, painting, baking, travelling, spending time with family and laughing. She loved spending time in Port Greville surrounded by family. Ruth always put everyone else before herself, and was always giving to others.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Darrell Kenney; son Roger Kelvey (Peggy); daughter Janice Kelvey-White (David); brothers Harold and Glenford; sisters Gloria, Bonna, and Linda; grandchildren Roger, Christopher, and Chloe; great-grandchildren Makayla, Tyler, Jace, Gavin, and Doug; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Beside her parents, Ruth was predeceased by brother Eldon and sisters Faulin and Barb.

A celebration of life for close friends and family will be held on Wednesday, July 3rd at 1pm in Grace United Church (8674 Route 209, Port Greville NS).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grace United Church in Port Greville.
