It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Dolores(Dragatis) MacSween on June 27th 2019 with her loving husband and devoted family by her side.

Dolores was born on October 3, 1937 in Glace Bay NS; she was the daughter of the late Basil and Jessie (MacIntyre) Dragatis, and is survived by her husband Ted MacSween; daughters Anita (Allan) O’Donnell, Elaine and son Kevin. Beloved grandchildren included Mark, Kevin and Emily and step grandchildren Terry and Ryan and cherished great grandchildren Jordyn, Markus Ben and Jaelyn. Dolores was also survived by her sister Anita Gadd.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her sisters Helen Goyette, Sally LeFebvre, Marie MacNeil and brothers Jim and Joe Dragatis.

Mom was a quiet, gentle lady of great faith, who loved her family dearly. She was happiest when serving others; you were always assured a hot cup of tea, sweets and warm hospitality.

There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass to be celebrated Tuesday July 2, 2019, 10 am at Holy Cross Church Glace Bay with Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding. There will be a reception immediately following  mass.

The family would like to thank Dr. Fuller and Taylor Burke RN for their compassionate care. Special thanks also to the palliative care staff for the exceptional care given to our precious Mom, you are truly angels.
