It is with heavy hearts that we, the family announce the passing of Regina Ann (Bushnik) Jessome, age 58, on June 21, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of Neil and Elizabeth “Betty” Bushnik. Regina was employed at The Bay for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed building puzzles, playing games on facebook and going to Bingo. She was a Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
Besides her parents, Regina is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 36 years, Bill Jessome; her sisters, Cathy (Billy) Moore, Linda MacDonald, Neila MacLeod (Jimmy Turner) and Sharon Bushnik. She is also survived by her father-in-law, Michael Jessome, brothers-in-law, Michael, Doug and Sam; nieces and nephews, as well as her special fur baby “Princess”.
The family would like thank Dr. E. Ajuwon for all that he has done for Regina and the Palliative Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, especially Michelle Kelly for her kindness and support given to the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glace Bay Salvation Army. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the Glace Bay Salvation Army Citadel, Union St., Glace Bay with Majors Rocky and Janice Bishop officiating. Reception to follow.
